Instructions for the map viewer

A description of the functionality of the mapping window is included below. For further information on specific questions see the frequently asked questions page or contact the INCP project manager.

The map viewer is composed of four main panels.

  1. The panel to the left is the toolbar.
See the table below for a description of each of the tools on the toolbar.
  2. The panel in the centre is the main map window. To make your map as large as possible, maximise the size of your browser window and if necessary, increase the size of your computer screen resolution.
  3. The panel on the right toggles the display of the Table of Contents and map legend.
The table of contents lists all of the layers that are able to be viewed at the visible scale. On this screen you can turn the display of a layer on or off and set the active layer.
  4. The panel below the main map window is the information panel where results from using the identify button are displayed.
